DE MOND – HEMEL & AARDE VALLEY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Known as De Mond, this historic property was built in Hermanus during the early 19th century. Since then, it has undergone various stages of upgrades and renovations, but none as comprehensive as this.

JNA Projects were tasked with the refurbishing of the interior and exterior while JNA Thatchers completed the work to restore the thatch roof – click here to view the interior project photos.

By working alongside the client’s heritage specialist, we were able to do the original design justice, while also learning a lot more about the early architecture of this famous seaside town.
